Composition: Each prefilled syringe contains 150mg of medroxyprogesterone acetate as the active ingredient. Side effects: The common side effects of DEPO-PROVERA® include irregular menstrual periods, weight gain, headaches, and mood changes. Less common side effects may include nausea, breast tenderness, hair loss, and skin reactions at the injection site. There is also a risk of bone mineral density loss with long-term use of the injection. Packaging: DEPO-PROVERA® is available in a prefilled syringe of 1-1ml.
